Vision for the Asheville Elopement Styled shoot

The Vision

Autumn is a season rich with warm hues and cozy vibes, making it a perfect backdrop for an intimate elopement. Beaver Lake, with its lush greenery and tranquil waters, felt like a secluded paradise, ideal for our fall-inspired shoot. I wanted to create a shoot that embraced the natural elements of fall. Allowing the scenery of Beaver Lake to shine through. The focus was on neutral colors—earthy browns, soft creams, and muted greens—to complement the vibrant foliage and serene ambiance of the location.

The Bride’s Attire

For the bride’s gown, I envisioned something that exuded elegance and warmth, perfect for a fall wedding. The dress featured long sleeves with intricate lace details, adding a touch of sophistication. While keeping the bride comfortable in the cooler autumn air. An open back design added a modern twist, making the gown both timeless and contemporary. This dress was a nod to what fall brides could wear. Balancing style and practicality against the picturesque backdrop of Beaver Lake.

The Groom’s Attire

Keeping the groom’s attire simple yet classy was essential to let the fall scenery and the bride’s gown take center stage. A classic black tuxedo paired with brown shoes provided a sophisticated look without overshadowing the natural beauty around us. The combination was timeless, ensuring the groom looked dapper while complementing the neutral color palette of the shoot.

Letting the Scenery Speak

One of the main goals of the shoot was to let the scenery speak for itself. The natural beauty of autumn at Beaver Lake, with its golden leaves, crisp air, and serene landscapes, provided a perfect backdrop. The simplicity of the setup allowed the vibrant hues of nature to take center stage, creating a breathtaking scene that was both romantic and awe-inspiring. The gentle rustling of leaves and the soft chirping of birds created a symphony of nature, enhancing the enchanting atmosphere.

Capturing the Essence of Fall

Incorporating elements of fall into the shoot was about more than just the colors; it was about capturing the essence of the season. From the gentle rustling of leaves to the soft, golden light filtering through the trees, every detail was meant to evoke the cozy, intimate feel of autumn. We used natural elements like dried flowers and rustic decor to enhance the seasonal ambiance, creating a scene that felt both elegant and grounded in nature.

The Experience

Arriving at Beaver Lake felt incredibly peaceful; the photos online didn’t do it justice. It was more beautiful than I could have imagined. This shoot was nerve-wracking as it was one I had put together myself since moving from Texas. The models, Aimee and Michael, were amazing, and it was refreshing to talk to new people after keeping to myself since relocating to South Carolina. Their warmth and genuine connection made the experience even more special, allowing us to capture the raw emotions and intimate moments that make elopements so magical.
